LifeLight is an in-depth small group Bible study that meets for nine consecutive weeks. Two courses are held each year–one in the fall starting in September, and one starting in February. The topic is usually a specific book of the Bible or a topic based on a book or books of the Bible.
Participants receive a lesson to work on at home each day of the week, and then once a week the group members come together to discuss the lesson and share what they have learned.
At Christ Lutheran Church one of the LifeLight groups meet in home of a host family which provides a cozy and familiar atmosphere the other class at the Church. Good fellowship and tasty treats become an important part of the group study as well as growing in knowledge of God’s Word and in faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Winter of 2017 LifeLight study is on the Life of David as recorded in the Old Testament. He began his life as a humble shepherd, caring for his father's sheep. That led to his involvement with King Saul - first as they were fighting the Philistines and Goliath, whom David killed because he blasphemed the Lord. This Fall's course began Wednesday, September 15 at 8:30 AM led by Pastor Eckhoff at the Church, Chad Whitehead at His home at 3:00 PM on Sundays and Pastor Knief at Al and Chris Schneider’s home on Sundays at 6:00 PM starting September 19th
You are welcome to join one of the groups! For additional information, contact the church office at 309-637-5309 or Mrs. Sue Lee at 309-697-9436.
