LifeLight is an in-depth small group Bible study that meets for nine consecutive weeks. Two courses are held each year–one in the fall starting in September, and one starting in February. The topic is usually a specific book of the Bible.
Participants receive a lesson to work on at home each day of the week, and then once a week the group members come together to discuss the lesson and share what they have learned.
At Christ Lutheran Church the LifeLight groups meet in homes of host families which provides a cozy and familiar atmosphere. Good fellowship and tasty treats become an important part of the group study as well as growing in knowledge of God’s Word and in faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This Winter, Christ Lutheran is offering a course in the second half of Genesis. This nine-week series is led in several locations: On Wednesday mornings it is led by Pastor Eckhoff in the Parish Hall at Christ Lutheran Church from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM. An evening class is led by Rev. Disbro at the home of Dr. & Mrs. Lonny Lannert and Pastor Frazell at his home on Thursday evenings beginning at 6:30 PM. In addition, two classes are held on Sunday evenings. A class is held at the VandeVoorde's home at 5:30 PM and another at the Wieland's home at 6:30 PM. For additional information, contact the church office at 309-637-5309 or 309-697-9818. These courses began January 27 and the last class will be held Sunday, March 28.
